Collaborating with our community, we create a space that finds itself at the intersection of resistance and love. It is about unwinding from the world’s chaos while using it as a foundation to create change. Through our events, from film screenings and workshops to exhibitions and parties, we celebrate diverse perspectives, create meaningful connections and build bridges that empower us to shape a future that belongs to us all.

Amilcar was searching for a photo studio when he stumbled
upon an empty space that was part of a broedplaats. This hidden gem, built on top of a former garage, stayed unnoticed for years, even within the broedplaats community. Its past was as notorious as it was mysterious: once an illegal brothel linked to the Hells Angels, its jacuzzis and stripper poles were the last traces of it notorious past.

When Amilcar first stumbled upon it, the space was a raw, empty shell: no ceiling, no electricity, just potential. Weekends were spent renovating during the pandemic, a time when friends came and went, but a small core stayed.

Among them was Anel, and Silvio, who started Strip Radio, a Sunday gathering where DJs played, friends hung out, and black-and-white portraits of the performers were shot. The intimate radio sessions often evolved into small parties, setting the stage for what would come next.

Soon, they began hosting illegal parties, which quickly
gained a legendary status. Sexy and underground, yet intimate
and respectful, the vibe felt like a close friend’s birthday—
by the end of the night, everyone knew each other. As these gatherings grew, they realized they’d created something more
than just events—a space for Amsterdam creatives
to connect and thrive during an isolating time.

By 2023, the Studio Strip community had expanded. They launched their first festival, Studio Strip Outdoor, and organized a Fundraiser Market that raised €10,000 for Palestine. It was clear they were building something far greater than parties.

Studio Strip has become a sanctuary for creatives of all genders and backgrounds—a place where people can be free, connect,
and turn chaos into art.
